My question is, is this system fit for running DOS games, or will I have compatibility issues with the GPU or sound card? Or possible the CPU being too fast? Or too much RAM? I've considered getting a machine specifically for DOS, with a 486DX or 486DX2 CPU or something along those lines, but if I could use the machine I already have, I'd spare some (hefty) money. There's also an integrated audio VIA AC'97 controller, but I don't think that'd be of any use in DOS. I also bought one of those IDE to CompactFlash adapters, in the hopes of using multiple OSes on separate CF cards. Logger Pro can’t collect data from photogates attached to the game port. This would require that you have an ULI or LabPro interface. The same thing is true when you select the Restart in MS-DOS option on the Start Menu from Windows 95.Īnother option is to move to our Windows software, Logger Pro. When an MS-DOS window is opened in Windows 95 or 98, a DOS shell is opened which is not really the same as MS-DOS. The fundamental problem is that our MS-DOS programs were intended for use in MS-DOS. Yes, you can run our DOS programs in Windows 95/98, but not in Windows NT or Windows 2000. ![]()
